New Year's Resolutions Restart

New Year's Resolutions Restart

•

Three weeks have passed since the new year began. Many people start each new year with new goals, with a resolution to start something this year, to accomplish something, to achieve something. Any gym attendant or yoga instructor will tell you that every January is packed with an influx of new clients, most of whom disappear within a few weeks. Such is unfortunately the experience of many. What to do? It is possible that the solution lies in the fact that the New Year’s resolutions were not quite properly formulated. Or perhaps — when setting our goals, wishes, achievements, certain “psychological mistakes” were made — not taking into account how our psyche actually works. As a result, we abandon our goals, give up on achieving them, falling into greater or lesser self-reproach. And there are people whose list of goals looks like this: restart The good news is that this can be changed. Although we tend to tie “starting a new life” to external dates — the new year, a new month, Monday, a birthday, the process can be “restarted” at any moment. And to avoid making the old mistakes, it would be worth formulating goals a bit differently. How? I will tell more about this in a seminar on Tuesday, January 28, at 18:30. The seminar ideas are derived from what was previously discussed about will and willpower. However, this seminar will be different — less theoretical, more practical, giving each person the opportunity to individually work on their goals, from formulation or reformulation. So:

Time: January 28 (Tuesday), 18:30-20:30. Seminar length: 2 hours, including time for questions and discussion. Venue: Riga, A. Briana 14, Mindfulness and Peace Practice. (White doors closer to Palidzibas street.) map Investment: 20 Euro (14.06 Ls) per seminar. The number of seats is limited, so please register your attendance in advance by phone 29213238, or email [email protected].
