maxima_logo_black Psychological help in a crisis may be needed by everyone connected to the tragic events at the Maxima store. Not only those directly affected, but also witnesses, relatives, rescuers, journalists — those indirectly involved, everyone! People often do not feel confident calling and seeking help because they survived and are unharmed, and therefore do not consider their pain to be as great as that of those who were physically injured… they think they can keep what they saw to themselves… but at night they cannot close their eyes, there is fear, anxiety… We want to encourage you — talk, call, share, do not keep what you experienced to yourself! If someone near you has been affected by this tragedy, even indirectly, encourage them to seek help! Here is a list of psychotherapists from the Latvian Association of Psychotherapists who are ready to provide free consultations to people in connection with what happened. Anyone among the victims, relatives, or witnesses can call any of the specialists listed below and arrange the time and place needed for the first consultation. We emphasize once again that psychotherapeutic help in this case will be free of charge. Each of the listed specialists will donate time within the limits of their practice to provide psychological help to those affected. This is a voluntary initiative. If you call and the psychotherapist does not answer, send a text message or call another one. If a particular colleague is unable to see you, call another one.
