Tonight on "Here and Now" - Solvita Vektere visits
The pre-election period is over, and the restrictions that applied to me as a parliamentary candidate are no longer in effect. Therefore, tonight is my first public appearance as the host of the show Here and Now. The first guest invited to the show is Solvita Vektere, who is well known and beloved by all viewers. The topic we offer for your discussion is:
Fear of success.
Perhaps this topic seems a little strange - what kind of fear of success could there be? Success is what all people desire, what everyone strives for?! Yet, in human behavior it is possible to observe this paradox - the way we ourselves sabotage our potential achievements. What exactly is the fear of success?
- It is the fear that in case of success, the price to pay will be too high.
- It is the fear that one will not be able to maintain the achievements that success will bring.
- It is the fear that upon reaching a result, the motivation to do more will disappear.
- It is the fear, the suspicion, that the anticipated success will not actually bring happiness in life.
- … and much, much more.
We will meet tonight, on LTV 1, right after the late news around 23:10! And - before the show, you have the opportunity to express your questions, perhaps reflections, right here in the comments!
