The fences that the mind builds, feelings easily step over (R. Blaumanis) People live with feelings - and in them, truth has no significance (E. M. Remarque)

When working with people - with clients, colleagues, superiors, subordinates - we are in relationships and therefore inevitably encounter feelings - both positive and, often, negative. Perhaps at work there is a prevailing notion that a professional should “know how to cope,” “get over” their feelings, a notion that feelings must not interfere with work, or - in extreme cases - that job duties include “feeling nothing.” Yet we are all human and it is precisely feelings that make us human. If you have encountered a situation where disturbing feelings appear in work or professional relationships, and - especially - if such situations recur, this can perhaps be explained by a concept widely used in psychotherapy known as “transference.” How to understand it and what to do about it - that is what the seminar will be about. Seminar goal: participants will have the opportunity to explore and more clearly become aware of their personal feelings that arise in a professional situation, to find meaning and application for them. To get to know oneself a little deeper. I will also provide insight into more than 50 years of accumulated theoretical knowledge about feelings in professional relationships. Working methods: Psychotherapeutic, group work (psycho-organic analysis) methods. The seminar invites professionals whose work involves helping other people - consultants, psychologists, social workers, doctors, lawyers, psychotherapists, nurses, midwives, doulas, educators, coaches, supervisors. Seminar leader: psychotherapist, psychologist Ansis Jurgis Stabingis More information about the seminar: [email protected], 29213238
